Super 8 wedding films
What is Super 8 Film?
Super 8 was a movie format invented in 1965 and commonly used for home movies. Itâs still around today and comes on 3-minute film rolls with all the colors and nostalgia of an old home movie from the â60s! It's important to know that Super 8 cameras don't capture audio, but we offer the option to add audio recordings of your vows and speeches.

Why you should consider a Super 8 videographer
In the world of overproduced slow-motion wedding videos and trend-focused content creators, itâs rare to have video footage that actually reflects how your wedding felt for you and your guests. Between the drones, gimbals, and teams of people filming your every move, itâs easy to feel like you're starring in a reality show instead of living your actual wedding day.
Thatâs where the magic of Super 8 comes inâinstead of a big crew, itâs just one person (my partner, Max) quietly capturing moments as they happen. No oneâs asking you to redo a hug or fake a reaction. It feels less like a film set and more like a close friend happened to bring a really cool vintage camera to your wedding.
Super 8 has this dreamy, imperfect beauty to itâsoft grain, little light leaks, and a warm, nostalgic glow that digital canât touch. It doesnât try to make your day look flawless. It captures how it felt.
Super 8 service is available with or without booking photography. If my schedule is open, I love to tag along as a second Super 8 videographer to help capture different angles and moments throughout the day.
âAt first, we weren't even sure we wanted to do videography for our wedding. Every drone shot turned us off, the editing felt like it dragged, and the overly polished, "reality TV" look just wasn't our style - at all.
Then we found Kayla and Max.
Each shot was purposeful, the "candid-meets-classic" style was engaging, and the editing crisply told unique stories in each film that made us feel like we really knew each and every couple they worked with. They captured more than just images - they captured the feeling of the day, and they did it beautifully.
We were supremely happy with how our final product turned out, but just as importantly, we LOVED working with them day-of. They are both exceptionally kind and warm people, and it felt like having two extra guests. They blended in, captured beautiful moments that we never would've been able to remember without them, and we have received similar glowing feedback from all our family and friends. We can't recommend working with them strongly enough.â

Meet Max, your Super 8 wedding videographer
My partner Max will capture video on Super8 at your wedding while I take photographs. His approach is candid and relaxed, so his videos feel more like a guestâs perspectiveâcapturing genuine moments rather than a traditional, posed narrative.
After the wedding, we collaborate on the editing to create an authentic and timeless film that tells the story of your day. With a background in studio art, a love for movies and music, and an intuitive eye for meaningful moments, Max's Super 8 films are truly unique!
