With over twelve years of experience, Kayla brings a thoughtful, intuitive approach to every celebration. Believing the best photographs come from being fully present, she works unobtrusively, creating space for genuine connection while offering calm direction whenever it’s needed.

Her perspective was shaped by a lifetime in the arts, first inspired by the coastal landscape of her hometown, Key West, and later refined at Florida State University, where she earned a BFA in Studio Art. That foundation continues to inform her attention to light, composition, and the quiet connections that make each moment personal.

Ultimately, she hopes her photographs become lasting reminders of the people, feelings, and fleeting moments that made this chapter of your life so meaningful.

Life & Work

Kayla and Max first met in college while studying Studio Art and eventually made Austin, Texas, their home. Kayla launched her photography business in 2014, and in 2023, Max officially joined her, bringing Super 8 film into the way they document weddings together.

Outside of work, they’re happiest spending time outdoors, discovering a great restaurant, listening to live music, or planning their next adventure.

Growing up, Kayla spent hours digging through old family albums, struck by how much a photograph could hold. For her, photography has always been about memory—the way a single image can bring you right back to a moment you might otherwise forget.

It’s the same pull that guides her work today. The things that seem ordinary in the moment can become the details you return to years later. Her goal is to make photographs that give those moments a place to live.
