Honoring the spirit of your day with a calm, observant eye.
With over a decade of experience, Kayla approaches weddings with a grounded presence, allowing couples to move naturally through their day. By navigating moments with intuition, she creates the space necessary for genuine connection and effortless emotion to unfold.
Raised in Key West, Florida, she grew up surrounded by an inspiring landscape and a vibrant creative community, which sparked her love for art at an early age. She later earned a BFA in Studio Art from Florida State University, focusing on Graphic Design and Photography—a foundation that continues to shape her eye for composition, color, and light.
Her work naturally resonates with couples from the design and creative industries who seek a collaborator with a distinct artistic perspective. Kayla’s photography has been featured in The Wed, Anti-Bride, and The Friend Club, among others.
Life & Work
Kayla and Max first met in college while studying Studio Art and later made Austin, Texas, their home. Kayla launched her photography business in 2014, and in 2023, Max joined her, documenting his first wedding on Super 8 film in Mexico.
When they’re not shooting weddings, they love hiking with their pup, relaxing with a good book at Barton Springs, discovering hidden gem restaurants, attending concerts and comedy shows, and unwinding with a drink on one of the city’s many patios.
