Hi! I’m Kayla β€” originally from Key West, Florida, I grew up surrounded by beautiful scenery and an artistic community, which sparked my love for creating at a young age. My passion for the arts led me to Florida State University, where I earned a BFA in Studio Art with a focus on Graphic Design and Photography. That foundation continues to shape my work, guiding my eye toward thoughtful composition and a timeless, refined palette.

With over a decade of experience, I approach weddings with a calm, observant presenceβ€”capturing moments as they unfold with honesty and care. I’m drawn to the interplay of light, color, texture, and emotion, and aim to preserve the beauty and feeling of your celebration in a way that’s both natural and enduring.

I’m honored to have my work featured in The Wed, The Friend Club, Anti-Bride, and more.

β€œKayla and Max are absolutely amazing. After seeing their incredible work and connecting over a call, we knew they were the perfect fit for us. Aside from being insanely talented, they are a joy to work with. Throughout our wedding day and rehearsal, they had the most lovely, grounding, and supportive energy. They expertly guided us through photos, making us feel so comfortable and at ease. And we are absolutely thrilled with the photos - we are going to cherish these for the rest of our lives. We cannot express our gratitude enough!!”

Our Story

Max and I both studied Studio Art and shared several mutual friends, but our paths didn’t cross until my junior year, when a friend introduced us at a local dive bar.

After graduation, we moved to Austin, Texas, drawn to the city’s music, art, food, and sense of possibility. Inspired by our new surroundings, I launched my photography business in 2015.

In 2023, Max joined me on this journey, capturing his first wedding on Super 8 film in Mexico. Together, we continue to approach life and work with curiosity, creativity, and a shared spirit of adventure.

We enjoy hiking with our pup, relaxing with a good book at Barton Springs, movies (anything A24), comedy shows, concerts, exploring new destinations, uncovering hidden gem restaurants, and unwinding with a drink on one of Austin’s many patios.

Family Heirlooms

Ever since I was a child, I’ve loved paging through my parents’ old albums and listening to the stories behind their adventures. Photography has a rare power to freeze these fleeting moments and preserve them for a lifetime. My passion is to capture the heart and soul of every wedding, creating images that will be treasured for generations to come.
