I am an extremely camera shy person and have never been a fan of professional photography because it comes off as staged or generic so combine that with my “in front” of the camera anxiety I was not looking forward to being photographed BUT Kayla blew up all my stereotypes of professional photos and made my partner and I beyond comfortable. If there’s one piece of advice I could give to any bride, it would definitely be to invest in an amazing photographer. Kayla is the absolute best! Her work truly speaks for itself, but she is also so kind, relaxed, and fun to be around. From the moment my husband and I met her for our engagement photos, we both knew she would be the perfect person to have with us on our most special day. My husband hates being in front the camera, and Kayla made him feel so confident and relaxed.
Kayla was more than willing to travel for our destination wedding in Santa Barbara, California. She arrived early so that she could scope out both of our venue sites at the exact time we would be at each, just to make sure she could get a good feel for each space and the lighting. It rained all day on my wedding, and Kayla definitely did not let it interfere with her work whatsoever. She was such a calming force all day, and kept our crazy bridal party in line! She is so polished, and professional, and all of my family, friends, and guests raved about her for months (and still are raving years later)!
She is a literal magician! She captured so many amazing moments and memories from our day, and I have no idea how she was able to get every shot so efficiently and so beautifully. I am so grateful that we hired Kayla, because I get to look back on those images from 2019 and can relive my day over and over again. Kayla was the absolute perfect match for us. We had our engagement and wedding photos completed with her, and I fell in love with her effortless mixture of posed and candid shots. The entire way through the process, Kayla reaches out and communicates with you and helps you choose your engagement outfits/where to get them done. She also helps you with your wedding timeline and asks for a must have photo list. She has great informative material she sends you to help you with all your choices. I thought our engagement photos went well, but whenever she sent them back to us, I WAS STUNNED. I absolutely love them. They are such great quality and I have them printed out all over our house. Kayla is SO easy to work with and so full of joy and encouragement. She tells you exactly how to pose. She makes the entire process so fun and exciting. I cannot recommend Kayla enough! My husband and I recently got married in Austin in December and could not have picked a better photographer than Kayla! From the initial greeting/meeting, to the engagement session and finally our wedding day, Kayla was amazing and her pictures are a perfect reflection of that. What I initially liked about Kayla was her high quality photography, especially for weddings/couple shots. She was great to work with in terms of communication and planning and followed through on every detail.
Kayla is also candid and wants to know what you like/dislike and truly tries to meet all your needs (I even told her I wasn’t wild about certain angles on me and I think she was great about capturing the right ones). And in the end what I learned from the process was that it’s not just about the “you pictures” – I didn’t realize how much I would appreciate and love the photos that Kayla took of our venues, accessories, family, friends etc. She truly delivered the complete package. Kayla has played a large role in documenting so many special moments for my husband and I. I first met Kayla as a senior in college, she took my graduation photos and I fell in love with her work. My favorite parts about working with Kayla were how professional yet comfortable she made the entire experience. On the day of the shoot, Kayla made sure we knew exactly what to expect and helped make sure we were comfortable and able to be ourselves We were worried that we would look awkward and posed in our photos... and that couldn't have been farther from the truth. Spending 90 min. having photographs taken of you seems very daunting at first. But, Kayla provided the perfect combination of directing us and telling us "what to do with our hands" while letting us goof off and truly show our personalities at the same time. The photos came out looking so natural and perfect!

Kayla was absolutely wonderful. She did our engagement and wedding photos. Kayla had an easy to maneuver website as well as simple, straightforward packages which can be hard to find at times. We wanted our engagements at a theater that you had to contact the owner and work out shooting times. Kayla took care of it all and was so on top of it so our engagement pictures could be exactly what we wanted, and they exceeded all expectations. We have HUGE families and Kayla captured every photo of every family member at our wedding and 100’s of memories we will cherish forever. Kayla also encouraged us to take so many shots at our wedding and i’m so thankful for that because now we have every shot, every background, everything we could dream of.
