“Kayla’s style of shooting allows you to be present on your wedding day. She captured the day exactly how we remember it - overflowing with love, laughter, and pure joy. We'll forever be grateful for her calming and joyous presence on our day, and we've gotten so many compliments on how awesome she was from friends, family, and vendors.”

I’m truly honored you’re considering me as your photographer. I believe the best images are created when there’s a genuine connection — when our personalities click, and we share a clear, creative vision for your day. Our consultation call is where we’ll really get to know each other, but let’s start with a few little icebreakers.
Photography has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. As a kid, I lined up my stuffed animals for their “school pictures,” disposable camera in hand. In high school, I learned to shoot film on my dad’s old 35mm camera, and that curiosity quickly turned into a passion. After taking several film photography classes in college, the darkroom became my second home, and I’ve been chasing that same magic ever since.
I met my partner, Max, in college through a mutual friend. We were both in the studio art program and instantly bonded over our shared love of music, art, and dogs.
We love to travel! Some of our favorite places so far include Lisbon, Oaxaca City, Berlin, Cinque Terre, and Corfu.
My inspiration comes from all forms of art (cinema, music, poetry, fashion, painting, etc.), human connection, old family photos, travel, and nature.
We might be the perfect fit if…
You want photographs that feel timeless, effortless, and true to your love — free from the pressure to pose or perform.
You believe your wedding should be about the joy of the day itself, with photos that honor it rather than orchestrate it.
You value imagery that captures the soul of your celebration — the fleeting glances, quiet in-betweens, and the atmosphere that makes your day uniquely yours.
If this feels like you, I’d be honored to document your story with the care and artistry it deserves.
Investment and Experience
The Signature Weekend Experience
A comprehensive documentation of your wedding story designed for the couple who values both the stillness of a photograph and the nostalgic rhythm of motion. It is an invitation to be fully present, knowing that every moment is being preserved to be felt again and again.
Rehearsal & Kickoff
Before the main event, I will join you for two hours to document the anticipation and connection of your welcome party. This time helps build rapport with your inner circle, creating a natural ease and familiarity that carries beautifully into the wedding day.
Wedding Day Documentation
Up to 10 hours of photography and 8–9 hours of Super 8 film. This intentional window allows the day to unfold naturally—giving you space to breathe without feeling rushed.
Super 8 Film
An 8–10 minute film shot exclusively on Kodak motion picture stock. Artfully edited to music, this is an organic, sensorial record of your day—capturing the movement, the light, and the distinct feeling of your celebration (no audio).
A Hybrid Approach
A discerning blend of digital and film photography. I pivot between mediums with intention, using the clarity of digital and the soul of film to best translate the atmosphere of your weekend.
A Second Perspective
A second photographer joins me on the wedding day to provide a wider vantage point, ensuring the quiet, fleeting moments between the big ones are never missed.
Legacy Access
Your photos and Super 8 film are delivered via a private online gallery with full-resolution downloads and print rights for you and your loved ones. Your gallery remains accessible for three years, serving as a digital home for your memories.
Total Investment — $20,000

Thank you for considering me to document your wedding day. It would be an honor to be part of such a meaningful celebration!
FAQ
-
What is your style of photography?
My style is a combination of documentary and editorial. I spend most of the wedding day capturing moments as they unfold; however, there are times when I step in and help guide the process. While putting your dress on, I may turn off the lights and move you close to a window for natural light; during family portraits, I'll be organizing and making sure everyone is lined up for the photo; and during your bride and groom portraits, I'll give gentle posing guidance while searching for in-between moments that reflect each couples unique love.
-
Do you shoot film and digital photography?
I’m a hybrid photographer, which means I shoot a combination. There are benefits to both film and digital photography. Film photography has a soft and nostalgic feel, which is perfect for portraits and detail photos. Digital photography, on the other hand, is great for quick candid moments.
If you’d like your wedding shot on 100% film, I’ve done it before and I’d love to do it again!
-
Do I get high-resolution downloads of the photos and the rights to print?
Yes! Each package includes an online gallery where you can download all of your images in high resolution, and you also receive the rights to print.
-
What is your turnaround time and how many images will I receive?
Generally, wedding galleries will be delivered through an online gallery 8-10 weeks after the wedding.
I am a firm believer in quality over quantity. I strive to deliver unique images for my clients that tell the story of the day, without overwhelming them with 10 similar photos. Clients will receive approximately 75-100 edited photos per hour of photography coverage.
-
What cameras do you shoot with?
I shoot with top-of-the-line digital cameras (Sony A1 & GFX 100S II), and also use medium-format film cameras (Contax 645 and Hasselblad H1) with 35mm film cameras (Contax G2 & Canon 1V).
-
What payments do you accept, and when are they due?
I accept checks, e-checks (directly through your online invoice), and credit cards. The 30% booking fee is due after signing the contract, and the remaining balance is due 30 days before your big day.
-
Are you insured?
Yes! I can provide your venue with my paperwork if they need to see it.
-
How many weddings do you book per year?
I accept a limited number of weddings each year, typically 12–14, in order to provide a personalized experience and give each celebration the time, care, and creative attention it deserves.
