Family Session with the Benjamin's

For the past couple of months I've wanted to expand my portfolio to include family sessions, but I was always too busy to set up any shoots. Lately I've had some extra time on my hands so I was lucky enough to do my first family session with the ADORABLE Benjamin family. Lee Anne and Dylan were some of the first friends I made when my boyfriend and I moved to Austin (we actually met them through Instagram!). Turns out they moved to Austin around the same time as us and were just as desperate for new friends as we were haha. It's been almost 2 years since we first met and it's been so much fun to see Lee Anne's blog, Life in ATX, and their business, The Austin Passbook, grow since we've known each other. Now I have little Noah to watch as he grows and soon enough he'll be breaking ladies hearts (seriously, he's perfect!). 

For the shoot we wanted to focus on lifestyle images instead of the typical family portraits so we decided to shoot at their apartment. When I met up with them at their place I was greeted with mimosas and warm smiles, it doesn't get much better than that! I was a little nervous about shooting in an apartment because most apartments don't have the best natural lighting, but I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of light I had to work with. Noah was pretty sleepy throughout the shoot so we had to work around his schedule, which meant taking a mimosa break while Noah napped. I'm super happy with the way these turned out and I'm looking forward to doing more family sessions in the future!
